In the spirit of embracing the fruits of another culture, I thought I would start my day with an Irish coffee. Tequila not with standing, I am not much of drinker. Earlier in the month, at my eldest’s request, I had made some Irish cream.
So here I am, making myself a coffee with my just ground, ecological, organic, and fair to everybody beans, in my new AeroPress (because my husband and sons spirited the other one to Florida). I put in a generous slog of my homemade Irish cream, gently blow the surface of the coffee so I can take my first edifying sip…
…with great sadness and a tongue coated with a flavour not easy to erase I discovered the cream part of my Irish cream has gone to the dark side.
Coffee remade, considering clog dancing instead.
