I took my crew to the ROM to see the tattoo exhibition.  The information, history, and art presented were fascinating.  It very much felt like the tip of an ice-burg of information.  One of the things that caught my eye was the tattoo art on silicon body casts.  I took down the name of one artist, but I must have gotten distracted (never surprising) and didn’t make note of one of the other artists that peaked my interest.  In my quest to discover the other artist’s name I oopsed onto a comment section.

I am always stunned by the vitriol people spew when they don’t have to face another person.  Name calling, blanket statements, derisiveness. How someone else’s choice offends you enough to throw hateful words and commentary into a pubic realm, is beyond me.  I think judgement and condemnation must be easier than understanding.  Understanding doesn’t necessarily mean agreeing with, it is accepting that other people have different views and thought processes that may not align with yours.  Slander, profiling, belittling is not part of that.  For instance, you don’t like tattoos…okay, don’t get one.
