My truck may never get the rough and tumble life of a rural or a working truck, at least it won’t through its time being My truck, but yesterday I got mud on my truck and it made me feel good. (I think there might be a country song in there). Â Bouncing through a pothole riddled, gravel parking lot, not being concerned about it tanking, hot summer wind blowing through the cab, the sound of the stones rattling in the wheel wells, brought me a taste of truck driving joy.
Now, my truck doesn’t corner the way I like to drive through a corner (picture F1 racing in the 70’s with Jackie Stewart commentating) and I am still white knuckling it when space between other objects and vehicles seems tight, but with the windows down, my hair dancing in the wind and My truck bouncing along a dirt road, a puddle or two to add to the adventure (puddle jumping is just as fun in a vehicle as long as the pothole you are navigating isn’t a disguised sinkhole…)…well, I am glad to be a truck driving woman.
