I have just started the journey of looking for a puppy/dog for my daughter for her birthday. Something tells me it might not be an easy one. I have sent out three inquiries so far. One dog was already adopted, which lead to a bout of tears from aforementioned daughter. For the second dog I had some interesting back and forth emails with a member of the organization about their opinion of what they decided I needed to do, and some questioning about my ability to do what I wanted to do, only to be told at the end that the dog’s present foster family decided to keep the dog. I shook my head a wee bit about that one. No tears from that bit of news, but there was some need for a lengthy hug. The most resent inquiry maybe sending me scrambling to find a car to borrow to get me out to Wasaga Beach for a puppy viewing tomorrow. I am sure there will be more tales to tell before this journey is over.
