Snowshoes. The Best Things EVER!
I was beginning to think that I was doomed in the world of winter activity, which really is sucky when we are having a real winter. I like the idea of being active in the winter but my luck and skill has slowly narrowed my possibilities. Skating, tobogganing, down hill skiing have all lead to me damaging myself. I have loved cross country skiing in the past, but lately it seems to be a lot of prep for the length of time I get to play in the snow.
Today, Jase and the kids decided to go tobogganing. I pulled on my nifty new snowshoes, donned my Bert hat, grabbed my poles and trail blazed into the depths of the Dundas Valley. With only Bert and my camera keeping me company I wandered the ski trails happily. Snowshoeing isn’t as silent as cross country skiing, no slid and glide, but not having to herringbone up the inclines makes it all worth it.
